Mayan Adventure Indoor Waterpark – Guest Code Of Conduct
Our goal is to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all Mayan Adventure Indoor Waterpark guests. Please review the following policies and procedures. At check-in, you will be required to sign a code of conduct waiver.
1. Hotel Guests must comply with all hotel, Village of Elmhurst, DuPage County and Illinois state policies, rules, regulations, codes, and laws.
2. Guests enjoying the waterpark agree to comply with all waterpark policies, rules, and regulations.
3. Wristbands are required for all waterpark access, including the Island Breeze Grill, arcade, and pool deck viewing areas. Wristbands are distributed from the hotel registration desk.
4. Wristbands are color-coded to reflect waterpark access rights and hotel departure dates.
5. One wristband will be issued to each registered hotel guest. Lost wristbands will be replaced at a cost of $30.00 per wristband. Size adjustments to wristbands must be done at the front desk only.
6. Guest giving their wristband to another party for entrance to the waterpark will lose all rights for access to the waterpark without refund or reimbursement.
7. Swim diapers designed specifically for pool use are required to be worn by children not yet toilet trained. Children who are not yet toilet trained or have difficulty getting to the restroom in time to prevent an accident must wear swim diapers at all times while on the waterpark premises. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the waterpark gift shop.
8. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and will not be issued a wristband or be allowed access to the waterpark with adult accompaniment.
9. The monitoring your child remains your responsibility even when lifeguards are present.
10. Unaccompanied children found in the waterpark without adult supervision present will result in a loss of all rights for access to the waterpark for the child and parent/adult companion without refund or reimbursement.
11. All guests who want to use the water slides must be 42 inches or taller. All guests using the waterslides do so at their own risk).
12. Periodically, we ask your cooperation in exiting the pools while a 15-minute safety break is being conducted.
13. As part of our continuous training for our lifeguards, sporadic audits will be conducted. These audits may include the use of baby dolls or live test victims. The scenarios are made to be as realistic as possible. Please do not call 911 unless you are asked to do so by a uniformed staff member.
14. Proper bathing attire (a standard and approved swimsuit) is required. No cutoffs, gym shorts, pants, skirts, shirts/tops, t-shirts, thong bathing suits, transparent color suits, sports bras, etc. are allowed.
15. All guests using the waterpark facility must wear proper attire, including footwear in all public places of the hotel. Footwear and shirts MUST be worn in ALL food and beverage facilities.
16. NO outside food and/or beverages will be permitted in the waterpark area.
17. NO food and/or beverages are to be consumed while in the water of any pool area.
18. NO gum or chewing tobacco is allowed within the waterpark facility.
19. The use of any floatation device (besides U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets) is strictly prohibited. All personal life jackets, including build-in swim suits, will be checked and given an approval wristband if access granted.
20. The pools are chlorinated and are maintained in accordance with state and local requirements. They are monitored through out the day to ensure chemical levels are within safe, mandated limits. Please note that the The Waverton Hotel Chicago-Elmhurst and/or the Mayan Adventure Indoor Waterpark will not be responsible for any garment, nor for any rash that may occur due to prolonged exposure to the pools.
21. The Mayan Adventure Indoor Waterpark is fully staffed with lifeguards during operational hours. The undersigned and all members of their party are aware that children must be accompanied by an adult and no person may swim alone.
22. Running on the pool deck are or in any of the pools is not permitted.
23. The The Waverton Hotel Chicago-Elmhurst and the Mayan Adventure Indoor Waterpark is not responsible for any lost or stolen property.
24. Lifeguards and Management have final authority on all safety/security decisions.
25. For the comfort of all hotel guest, we ask that you keep music, conversations, televisions, radios, games and other noise making devices to a low, respectful volume. If noise complaints are received coming from your room or occupants, you will receive one warning to reduce the noise level. Any subsequent noise complaint received will result in an immediate eviction from the hotel property with no refund or reimbursement.
26. Hotel guestrooms are intended for the use of registered guests only. Outside, non-registered guest, and/or the use of hotel guestrooms for parties or other social events will not be tolerated. Violations to this policy will result in immediate eviction from the hotel property with no refund or reimbursement.
27. Management has the right to refuse access to the waterpark or remove guest from the waterpark and/or hotel premises for any guest the violates any hotel, Village of Elmhurst, DuPage County, and/or Illinois state policies, rules, regulations, codes, or laws or may be considered a risk to themselves, other people, or the facility with no refunds or reimbursement.
28. Illinois laws require those using recreation facilities and game room amusement rides to obey all warnings and directions and behave in a manner that will not cause or contribute to injury of themselves, or others. Guests must report injuries to lifeguard/hotel personnel prior to leaving the premises.
29. The Village of Elmhurst has a curfew of 11:00pm for those under the age of 18 years. All children under the age of 18 years will not be allowed to be in public areas of the hotel premises (outside of hotel guest rooms) after 11:00pm. Hotel check-out time is 11:00am. Strict compliance and adherence ensures arriving waterpark guests timely access to clean rooms. Departing waterpark guests are welcome and encouraged to make complete use of the waterpark facilities until 3:00pm. on the day of your departure. However, guests must vacate their rooms 11:00am on their scheduled departure date at which time their guestroom key card will expire. Guests not vacating their room by 11:00am may encounter additional charges. Any personal items left in hotel rooms will be stored to allow the housekeeping personnel access to clean the room for arriving guests.
